Small Business Spotlight: Services Edition

Today, we’re spotlighting our favorite small businesses that offer services. From the flower delivery service Arielle loves to an at-home cooking class service led by an acclaimed chef, take a look at these incredible small businesses below.

The Neon Tea Party: The Neon Tea Party is a crafting company that has DIY kits, crafting supplies, and workshops available. You can participate in a virtual crafting workshop right now, a perfect activity to do with kids at home! The New York-based company was founded by Marisa Morrison Stein, who transforms at-home DIY projects into a full-on “Neon Tea Party.”

Florabrook: This NYC-based floral service specializes in beautiful installations and unique bouquets of dried flowers that ship nationwide. The company was founded by Caroline Lahti over 5 years ago, who wanted to share her love of nature through Florabrook.

blankbox: blankbox is a gift packaging service offering chic and custom ready-to-gift boxes. The female-founded company is based in NYC. blankbox recently launched a handwritten note service and 100% of the proceeds to go @foodbank4nyc, so you can send a beautiful handwritten note to someone special and support a great cause at the same time.

Chef Matt Migliore: NYC-based Chef Matt Migliore has created an at-home chef consulting business, where Chef Matt can create a recipe based on the ingredients currently in your kitchen or host a virtual cooking class via Zoom. Last week, he hosted an amazing cooking class for team SN! 

Studio RIU: Studio RIU is a female-founded interior designer and renovation service based in Texas. The company currently offers e-design services so you can virtually renovate your space, and their entire Instagram feed is an excellent resource for design inspiration.

Dribbl: Dribbl is a recreational basketball program for kids and young athletes in New York. They offer seasonal programs and summer camp sessions to teach kids the basics of basketball and team sports. They’ve pivoted to virtual basketball classes via Zoom right now, which are free for Dribbl families with a suggested donation amount to support the staff.

Sort & Sweet: Sort & Sweet is a female-founded and owned decluttering and organization service. Sort & Sweet works in New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, and California, and have special virtual packages available right now.  

Popupflorist: Popupflorist is Arielle’s go-to flower arrangement company. It was founded by Kelsie Hayes in 2016 and is based in NYC, but they ship their beautiful florals nationwide! 

 

The Kids Table: The Kids Table is a New Jersey-baesd party rental service that specializes in events for children. They’ll create the themed birthday party of your child’s dreams or create a perfectly spooky Halloween party for your little ones–there’s no party idea too big or small for this company. 

Manhattan Wellness: This is a female-founded boutique psychotherapy practice in NYC. They specialize in helping young adults with a wide range of concerns.  

SPIFF Organization Specialists: This female-founded organization company is based in Westchester. Right now, the business is offering virtual organization services, and 10% of proceeds will be donated to a COVID-19 non-profit organization of your choice.

Super Snaps: Super Snaps is an online photo printing service based in London. The Super Snaps printing service will bring your favorite Instagrams to life! 

Chef My Kitchen: Chef My Kitchen is a service that connects professional chefs with fans, foodies, and anyone looking to cook at home. A chef develops a step-by-step recipe and then cooks it via video chat. 100% of the profits from Chef My Kitchen go towards the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. 

Minibar Delivery: Minibar is a delivery service that partners with local liquor stores to bring you the best wine and spirits . You’ll get the best options from your local area sent straight to your door. 

Hopeful Romantic Events: Hopeful Romantic Events is a female-founded business based in Boston and NYC. The company helps plan and coordinate proposals, to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch.

belively&co.: belively & co. is a community for moms and families to provide support, activities, and resources for caretakers. Founded by three moms, the site has recipes created with your kids in mind (like a broccoli dish for picky eaters) along with self-care advice and honest stories about motherhood.

Flowers By Special Arrangement: Flowers by Special Arrangement is a floral shop in NYC with classes that teach you how to arrange flowers on your own. Right now, you can also take a virtual class to learn from home.

Simply by Suzy: Suzzane Brown is a photographer and educator who founded Simply by Suzy, a photography service and educational resource. Based in Chicago, Suzzane is known for her beautiful photos of families, newborns, and expectant mothers, and she also created an online course to teach parents how to take great photos of their kids from home.
