We didn’t attend Paris Fashion Week this year, but of course we admired some of our favorite designers’ runway shows from a far! Here are our top picks of the best collections that debuted across the pond.
Giambattista Valli’s Paris Fashion Week show for Fall 2019 was all about bohemian 80s vibes. Looks featured oversized silhouettes that were reinvented for today, like puffed shoulders and iconic 80s suiting styles made modern again. The silky pinks and purples softened up the stark black looks and gave us a cohesive show with a ton of cool energy.
Isabel Marant gave us the perfect mix of eclectic patterns and classic Western styling for her runway show this season. The looks were luxurious and elevated with a creamy color scheme throughout. Leather accents pulled it all together and added the perfect fall touch.
Johanna Ortiz‘s Paris show was full of easy-to-wear earth tones that made the entire collection feel naturally beautiful. Big, flowing dresses were standout pieces that fit right into the glamorous Paris apartment backdrop of the show.
Monochromatic looks dominated the Stella McCartney
show in fall’s favorite dark and moody
hues. What’s most impressive is Stella McCartney’s commitment to sustainable fashion, which was seen throughout the show,
too. All looks had an ethical element to them, which made the collection even more appealing.
