Tell us who you are…
I’m the Founder & CEO of Hill House Home, a direct-to-consumer bedding & bath brand. I’m also known Henry’s Mom.
Tell us about your business and what makes you stand out?
We’re the only one of our competitors who still manufactures in Italy; we’re incredibly proud of our manufacturing partners, who have literally been doing this for centuries. We’re also known for our take on monograms; our customers monogram everything from the location of their first kiss with their significant other to the lyrics of their favorite song on their pillowcases. We love the idea of turning special, meaningful moments into keepsakes that you’ll have – and sleep on – forever!
How did you get started?
I’ve always been obsessed with design — in High School, I cut up feather boas from Claire’s Accessories and glued them to my headboard and pillows, and in college everyone used to make fun of me because I’d stage my high heels like art around my dorm room. My first job, however, was in Finance – Tara and I actually interned together in Sales and Trading. After 2 years as an Analyst on Wall Street, I wanted to combine my quantitative and creative sides to create a design-forward home brand that took advantage of the direct-to-consumer business model. I applied to Business School, where I spent two years figuring out a supply chain as part of the Start-Up Incubator at my school. After I graduated in 2016, Hill House Home was born! Almost three years later, and we’ve shipped to customers all over the world and we have a flagship store in the West Village.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The best part of my job is helping people to love their homes. Waking up in a space that feels good to you is so incredibly important to your mental and physical health, and it really is as simple as figuring out what brings you joy. It’s hugely intimate, creating products that people sleep on and use every single day, so we take our jobs seriously. It’s so wonderful to see how the products that we dream up get lived in. I can spot the edge of our pillowcases or duvets from a mile away on Instagram stories, and literally every time someone who shops at HHH puts up a story in their bedroom and I catch a glimpse I’m over the moon. Totally creepy, but over the moon!
How do we find you?

1. My favorite place to vacation is Nantucket Island.
2. My biggest pet peeve is slow walkers on NYC sidewalks.
3. My guilty pleasure is The TV show 90 day fiancé. I don’t actually feel guilty I just need everyone to watch it immediately.
4. My biggest fear is I am literally afraid of everything. I get scared when a light breeze makes a noise.
5. My biggest accomplishment is Going into labor at work in the middle of a photoshoot and still remembering to print out the shot list for my team before I went to the hospital.
