Body On My Mind

Summer screams skin!

How’s that for alliteration? In all seriousness, warmer temperatures mean we’re breaking out our bikinis, mini dresses, and even the occasional crop top. The skin on our body is finally seeing the light of day, which makes us pause to consider how to shake off the dullness of many months indoors.

While our faces have earned a precise, twice-a-day skincare routine, we find it strange that the skin on our body comes second. After all, skin is the body’s largest organ.

To freshen up for summer, we’re sharing a few of the steps we take to get our skin buffed,, glowy, and ready to take on the swimsuit of our dreams.

Wash with a moisturizing cleanser

Product: Necessaire The Body Wash has three luxe oils to keep us hydrated, while vitamins add back to our skin.

Exfoliate to brighten and reveal smoother skin

Product: Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub uses crushed grape seeds and brown sugar to gently buff off dead skin cells while grape seed oil nourishes the skin

Add a subtle glow without the sun’s damaging effects

Product: Tan Luxe Wonder Oil Illuminating Self-Tan Oil is a triple threat. It moisturizes with raspberry seed oil, firms and sculpts skin with caffeine, and adds a subtle bronze all at the same time. We love the easy to use bottle, with a thoughtful rollerball applicator that makes it easy to roll on and smooth into skin for a glowing sheen.

Protect with SPF

Product: SUPERGOOP! Antioxidant-Infused Sunscreen Mist With Vitamin C Broad Spectrum SPF 50 The super fine mist covers hard to reach areas, and SPF 50 keeps us protected from harmful UV rays, because we have #notimeforwrinkles

Smell luxurious

Product: Ellis Brooklyn Myth Eau De Parfum. This vegan, eco-friendly fragrance has that je ne sais quoi that we can’t stop spritzing. It’s quickly developed a cult following and sells out regularly, so grab one if you can.
