Something to Listen To: Team SN's Favorite Podcasts

From pop culture recaps to inspiring stories from entrepreneurs, there’s truly a podcast out there for everyone.

Podcasts are having a serious moment. There’s a seemingly endlessly supply of series to choose from no matter your interests. A podcast can give you a front-row seat to a conversation between two industry experts, or you can hear unfiltered stories from celebrities themselves. We asked team SN to share their favorite podcasts to listen to, from a wellness series to an inspiring show about female entrepreneurs starting their “second lives.”

Dana

The Sakara Life Podcast: This podcast just launched and I've been loving it! They speak with wellness experts across really unique spaces and Danielle and Whitney both have such soothing voices.

Sydney

The Morning Toast: I looove Claudia and Jackie. The Morning Toast is my favorite place to get pop culture updates. They also always have great guests, and they just have the funniest banter and the best mix of personalities.

Tara

Skimm’d From The Couch: In this podcast, Carly and Danielle (the Founders of The Skimm) speak with a range of very influential women across industries about their career journeys. They inject a lot of relatable questions into the conversation which brings a strong sense of connectivity and inspiration. I just listened to their episode with Sheryl Sandberg, I’m in awe of her career!

The BOF Podcast: BOF is one of my favorite outlets for fashion news, so it’s no surprise that I love their podcast. Imran Amed, the Founder and Editor In Chief of BOF, chats with a range of fashion industry people–from Designers to Executives to Retail Experts.

Jamie

Keep It!Movies! Music! Celebrities embarrassing themselves! It’s all there. Each week, Ira Madison III, Louis Virtel, and Aida Osman are joined by all types of influential people to discuss the latest ways pop culture and entertainment are intersecting with politics and society. They keep me laughing through the entire hour.

The Dave Chang ShowDave Chang is more than just a chef. His creativity and curiosity are incredibly motivating for me as a creative. In ranging conversations that cover everything from the creative process to his guest’s guiltiest pleasures, Dave and a rotating cast of guests talk about their inspirations, failures, successes, fame, and identities. Right now, his point of view feels extra relevant and he is providing a lot of insight into how we can help the hospitality industry stay afloat.

Taylor

It’s Happening with Snooki & Joey: Jersey Shore star Snooki and her best friend/makeup artist Joey Camasta have a podcast where they talk about a little bit of everything. Whether it’s current events or pop culture, hearing their thoughts on everything is extremely entertaining. While listening to the podcast you can feel how much energy is in the studio while they’re recording. Whenever I need something light to listen to on a commute this is my go-to!

Mood with Lauren Elizabeth: Mood is hosted by influencer Lauren Elizabeth, who brings her signature sense of humor to every episode. Lauren covers all aspects of her life in this show, and is frequently joined on the podcast by other personalities, including Cassie Randolph from The Bachelor and Jackie Oshry.

Maggie

Second Life: This amazing and inspiring podcast is hosted by Hillary Kerr, the Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer of Who What Wear. Hillary sits down with trailblazing women who have successfully navigated major career changes in insightful, candid, and honest conversations. Every episode is uniquely fantastic, but Reese Witherspoon was a guest earlier this year in one of my favorite episodes, and I also loved Hillary’s interviews with Sarah Gibson Tuttle, the founder of Olive & June, Instagram’s Eva Chen, and Ali Webb, the founder of DryBar.

The High Low: Hosted by two fabulous British writers, Pandora Sykes and Dolly Alderton, the High Low is a pop culture and news podcast that gives listeners a deep-dive into the latest headline-making moments. I love the entire show, but my favorite parts are when Pandora and Dolly discuss what they’re reading at the moment–they’ve read excerpts from poems and short stories that have left me in tears. I can’t recommend it enough.
