As most of you know, I’m all about my accessories. It’s what I invest in and it’s what I style my outfits around. I’ve been envisioning a black turtleneck, mini skirt and boots (all black) paired with a statement bag. I knew I was in the market for a black every day bag but one that that could also be transitioned for a night out. On top of that, it needed to be convenient while carrying a baby/pushing a stroller. In my mind, it was black, with a long strap as an optional cross-body, with easy access. I really wanted something with little more of a flair and edge to stand out and be different than what I’ve been seeing all over the place. I usually shop on Neiman Marcus for my shoes, bags and coats so I immediately thought to go there. My budget for this purchase was $500 and I knew that the best place to look was a department store that carries a variety of designers and price points.

I loved all the saddle bags from the Coach 1941 Fall 2016 collection – eclectic and cool with just the right amount of edge I was looking for. This particular bag had such great detailing on the bag with the rivets and western flair that it was the perfect finishing touch for my all black look. I loved the contrast of the marigold stitching that gave it that extra pop. I’ve been seeing this around lately and have been eyeing this trend so this is my favorite part of the bag: the detailed strap! What do you guys think of this look? Would love to hear your thoughts x
