3 Easy DIY Beauty Recipes You Can Make At Home

We’re all spending more time at home than usual, so why not add a little self-care to your daily routine?

But you don’t have to buy new beauty products to make it happen: you can create your very own at-home beauty recipe. We rounded up our favorite DIY skincare treatments you can create with everyday ingredients straight from your kitchen like avocado, oatmeal, and coffee grounds.

Coconut Oil and Avocado Face and Body Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp of coconut oil

Directions:

  1. Cut up the avocado
  2. Put the avocado and coconut oil in the blender
  3. Blend until smooth
  4. Apply and let sit for 15 minutes
  5. Rinse off

Honey, Yogurt, and Oatmeal Face Mask

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup hot water
  • ⅓ cup oatmeal
  • 10 drops tea tree or lavender oil
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 egg white 
  • Half avocado

Directions:

  1. Mix the hot water together with oatmeal
  2. Combine plain yogurt, honey, and drops of oil with the hot water and oatmeal
  3. Mash an avocado and add into the mixture
  4. Add 1 egg white 
  5. Apply in a sheet to your face and leave on for 10 minutes

Coffee Body Scrub

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coffee grounds
  • 2 tbsp. hot water
  • 1 tbsp. warmed coconut oil

Directions

  1. Combine coffee grounds and hot water into a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly 
  2. Add the coconut oil
  3.  Spoon the mixture into a sealed container
  4. Apply to desired body areas 
  5. Gently use scrub to exfoliate and revive skin
  6. Rinse scrub completely off
