Thanks to our friends at NET-A-PORTER for partnering with us on this post
There are only three days left of February, which means we can start wearing spring shoes, right? Blame it on Fashion Month, but no matter what our weather-app-of-choice says, this is always the time of year when we start plotting how to update our wardrobe favorites with the most right-now-feeling footwear.
But where do we begin? Thankfully Arielle has done the legwork for us (pun intended). She’s sorted through all of NET-A-PORTER’s most fabulous footwear to find the most 2020-iest of spring trends that we’re all going to wear ASAP, regardless of the temperature. And since one might say that she’s made browsing NAP’s “What’s New” section a daily ritual, it didn’t take her long.
She’s covered all of the bases: from flats to sandals to elegant pumps, and fun colorful picks that have us daydreaming of 65° and sunny—or at least Miami.
And not that there was any doubt, but it’s generally a pretty good idea to trust the girl who’s got a shoe wall in her famous “cloffice” to pick what you put on your feet. Happy shoe-shopping!
Arielle’s Daytime Picks
When picking a daytime shoe, comfort and style are mutually important. You can still make a style statement, even if you’re on your feet all day. Some of our go-to’s are a reinvented flat, not-crazy-high high heels or block heels, and a new take on the gladiator sandal.
Arielle’s Sneaker Picks
Whether they’re paired with dresses or even suits for the office, sneakers are the new flats. Stick to the classics from brands like Vans and Adidas, or make a statement with metallic styles from Golden Goose and a throwback velcro style from Givenchy.
Arielle’s Nighttime Picks
So what do you do at 6PM and you suddenly have post-work plans? A festive shoe can take your look from desk to dinner at the snap of a finger. Right now, we’re particularly lusting after thong-sandals (yes, really), crystal details, and a stand-out ankle-strap—worn over pant legs for next-level nowness.
PS: *These are editorially selected, but if you purchase, Something Navy may get something in return. Thanks.
