The other day I had this vivid memory of my parents’ room from the house I grew up in -the bed perfectly made, the familiar smell of their sheets. It was like a sanctuary to me and considered a special treat to be able to hop into bed with them and watch a movie. It’s funny because now that we have our own home with our own daughter, I look at our (finally completed!) decorated bedroom and think to myself “this is our mom and dad room”. I want to create that same sense of comfort and security for my daughters the same way I had it and now that I think of it, I’ve always tried to emulate the perfectly made bed. The bed with the crisp white linens, multiple fluffed pillows, with a throw that’s just perfectly laid out on the bed is what I envisioned being an adult and grown up. That being said, I love linens and testing out a bunch of different ones. I’m that person who stays at a hotel and falls in love with their bedding and then buys it for myself!

We were in the market for a new mattress to replace our old one and learned about this mattress and bedding brand, Allswell. Once the mattress was sleep-approved (we opted for the Classic Luxe, it feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud!), I was excited to find out that they make it so easy and convenient to make the perfect “Instagram-worthy” bed with curated bedding by top designers. I always prefer the super clean, minimal look with white sheets, which I was happy to find as an option on the site with the added element of texture and color from the cable-knit pillow and throw. I never would have thought to add in a pop of color but the mint gave a soft and subtle touch to the room. The best thing about having curated bedding is that you always want to have the bed made!
