Before heading to California I got to attend the pre-party at the newest and largest Sephora store in North America (obviously I picked up some plane essentials also). When I walked in I met with one of the Sephora PROs – do you know that their PROs and cast members will give you free makeup tutorials?! Not only was the store MASSIVE (11,300 sqft to be exact) but they have 13,300 products to play with! They also had so many new digital in-store features that helps you pick out products that works for your skin tone, tutorials that teach you how to create the perfect smokey eye and a fragrance studio that helps you find that perfect scent. The Beauty TIP Workshop is one of my favorite additions to the new store. You can partake in a group class in this area or play on your own using the iPad equipped with Sephora’s Virtual Artist App so you can literally try on thousands of beauty looks digitally right from your seat. My personal favorite was definitely the fragrance studio- I found exactly what type of perfume I love. Another one of my favorite elements was the Tap and Try technology in the Sephora Collection section. It also uses the Virtual Artist technology to show you what lash and lip choices work best for you. It’s so easy to use – you scan a product and immediately see the results on your face. It was such a fun way to play with beauty! Within less than 10 seconds, I was also able to learn with their brand new Moisture Meter what type of creams and serums would be best for the condition of my skin. I’m a 49 by the way! The perfect way to close the night was when I learned that two of my friends brands, Jo Malone and La Mer are now sold at Sephora!
