style code live: DATE NIGHT

Now that we’re parents it really hard to find time to set aside for a date night! Once we had Ruby we wanted to make sure we had a schedule date night each week. Having time just the two of us is so important and because it only happens once a week, there’s a lot more excitement around it. We get dressed up, chose a fun restaurant and recap each other’s weeks. Here are some photos of past date nights with B (going to see Jerry Seinfeld, vacations, New Years Eve and just dinner in the city). I invited Style Code Live to capture my getting ready date night routine for you all to see. Watch here!

  1. Date is something I always look forward to with my boyfriend. We’re not parents, so we have more flexible time than you and brandon I’m sure…but even so, I feel like there’s something nostalgic about getting ready to go on a date with your significant other. It sort of conjures up memories from when we first started dating. I think lots of girls can associate with this feeling, and maybe that’s why we love to get dressed up for them so much! It’s fun putting on a pretty dress and a pair of heels to make yourself feel pretty for your man.

My favourite is when he comes home from work and tells me to get dressed up because we’re going for dinner, cocktails or even a move 🙂

Thanks for sharing – it’s a cute post

  2. You and Brandon are total dreamboats! It’s so fun to see your relationship because he reminds me so much of my boyfriend { look similar, commercial real estate and sense of humor}. Love that you guys make it a priority to have date nights, it’s so important as parents!
