Here’s a little round of my outfits from Day 1 at New York Fashion Week! Today was definitely a busy start to this exciting time, not only did I have a bunch of my favorite shows but I had a fitting for the Rebecca Minkoff show (which I’m walking in on Saturday) and my new blog went live, finally! I have been waiting so long for this moment so I hope you all love it as much as I do. I also launched my first hair tutorial, I will eventually post a tutorial breaking it down on how I actually use the curling iron because that’s something a lot of girls asked about!
Anyway, back to Fashion Week. I started off my day with the Hellessy show. I filmed my entire experience at the show with Amazon Style Code Live! We talked with my sister backstage on how she preps for the shows and what every stylist needs to have backstage. After Hellessy, we rushed off to Marissa Webb. I absolutely love her pieces, every look that came down the runway was wearable. Nothing was over the top or unrealistic, I was able to picture myself in each look. After Marissa Webb, we headed to Creatures of Comfort. Their pieces fully make sense with the brand name. Everything was oversized sets, blouses with matching trousers and silk pajama like sets. It truly is for the creature of comfort. We ended the day with the Ulla Johnson presentation and Cynthia Rowley presentation. Both were incredible, I love presentations because I can run in, look through all of the looks quickly, snap pics of my favorites and run out. Ulla Johnson has quickly became a favorite designer of mine, her flowy feminine bohemian pieces are a must have in my wardrobe.
